GyNntOniC: A Special Tuesday!

Gelare Promo? Of course not! :p So much to write...

Usually I'll be at home be my 黄脸婆! It's a special Tuesday 'weekend'. Darling was on leave yesterday. So, I had chance to go out again...the much-awaited weekend is here so fast this week...HApI! :)

A whole string of activities went on... some frustrating but mostly satisfying and fun. Darling had to take leave coz we needed to notarise some important documents urgently to courier back to Singapore for our property.

We went out at about 10am. We were caught in the rain, that lasted for a short 5 min and took shelter at an abandoned office. (*eerie* luckily, it's daytime) We then followed the address given by his Vietnamese colleague. Ha...wrong place! We were then directed to another location. As usual, communication breakdown, thankfully, we met one old lady who speaks very good English. She told us that that was not the right place. "NOT AGAIN!" She was very kind to write another address for us, and even told us not to go at that time, which was about 11am, as it's their break time. Hmm...we still popped over to make sure that we found the right place.

"YES! We did!" But hor, it's true, it's their break time. The security guard looked super stern. Maybe coz we were disturbing his break time. But come on, their break is a good 2.5 hours!!! (11am-130pm). We were told to come back at 130pm. Sianz!

Hmm...2.5 hours...what to do? I suggested to Darling to go to the local wet market to take a look. Local standard indeed. But we found GEMS!!!! Haha... such simple ingredients but we were over the moon when we saw them: Half packet of Wanton Skin and 300g of Egg Noodles! (Wanton Skin-10,000D and Egg Noodles-6,000D) My darling's favourite! I'm going to try make Wanton Mee later for him for dinner! (*hopefully will taste nice*) There were also other gems around which we can't find at Co-op Mart. The vegetables look fresher too! We plan to have our marketing here the coming weeks. Hope the vendors don't 砍菜头!

We bought 500g of big prawns (70,000D) too... :) There were many other seafood too...Seafood galore...if only I can enjoy a hot steamboat now! or BBQ.... =) We bought 200g of dried shrimps (40,000D - slightly more expensive than other stalls! Should have compared $$ before buying! Still cheaper than Sin la but quality not sure) What else? 200g of Cuttlefish at 140,000D per kg. (28,000D)

After buying them, we went home to keep the food in the fridge. We went out for lunch at 115pm. Nice lunch. Ordered Fish Soup, Sweet & Sour Pork (not that nice as compared to Sin style), and a fried toufu with vegetables (the toufu turned out to be tau kwa - one of my all-time favourites) Lunch- 165,000D (~S$14).

After lunch, we proceeded to the Notary public to have our documents signed before the witnesses. Our Second time back! "Kaoz! &#e#!" We were not allowed to enter! "AGAIN!!!!" NO SHORTS ALLOWED! Hmm... bo pian....have to go back to change lorz. The story doesn't end here...

We went back and matter still not settled! Our documents need to be TRANSLATED to Vietnamese! Jialart! It was already 345pm. Don't think we could settle the matter by then. Anyway, we went to a translator. Guess what...it costs 60,000D (~S$5) per page! And we have 30+ pages in all. That will be at least $150 to translate the documents, not including postage for courier yet.

So, maybe it's a blessing in disguise! We decided to book tix back to Singapore. Though more expensive, at least we can still see our families & friends! :p Look forward!!!

After settling the unsettled notorisation, Darling treated us to a relaxing massage! ShIoK! Each pax costs 140,000D (~S$12) That included massage fee, tips for Masseuse and a glass of drink.

After a refreshing massage, we went on a city touring on our 小棉羊. We saw a lot of huge & nice houses and a cafe under construction... looks nice n modern. Will go back once it's done up!

Last stop, we went to the high-end shopping centre (Imperial Plaza). I'm spoilt today! I went on to purchase 2 L'OCCITANE products which I found on the Internet the day before. Happy shopping! Overwhelmed! Got everything at 720,000D. Imperial got promotion going on. For every 200,000D spent, we'll get a chance to spin the lucky wheel. We've got 4 chance. I aim for the air revitaliser. 50% win！2 out of 4! As usual la...no luck at all these. See what we have won! A cup of juice (i would say syrup water!) and a swimming suit (80s design? :p).

To end off the Special day, Darling cooked Buttered Garlic Prawns with White wine and I made Honey Pork Ribs for each other. Oiishi! though presentation not very nice lahz :)
