The day we say "I DO"

3.26am

It's 3.26am VNT.

Why am not I sleeping? Hmm...having stomach upset just now, slept a little before I woke up at 2am.

I'm actually planning for next week's menu so that Silas and I can go marketing later, in about 6 hrs' time. :) Something new in the menu that I'm going to try is Fried Prawn Noodles (got craving for Singapore Food! :p)

Today, or i mean yesterday (17 July), Silas and I went out to this piano shop after dinner. It was drizzling, so we waited a while before we got a taxi. "That piano shop would be closed in 10 mins' time..." I commented in the taxi. A little hiccup along the way (motorbikes road hogging in front of us). We reached the shop 2 mins after 9pm (close). The shutters were down, closed!

Haiz...we did not take the taxi home as yet. We actually tried calling the owner. And YES! The sound of the shutters actually sounded nice at times like this...haha. The sales staff were still very willing to serve us. Silas tried the piano that he was eyeing, Casio CDP-200. Then, he tried another model, Casio PX800.

"Dear, though I don't know much about music and sound quality...this really sounds nice. The sound is so crisp and clear!" Both of us fell in love with PX-800 but the price is steeper.

In the midst of trials, the owner came back, and thankfully, he could speak some good English. We asked for the prices. Casio CDP-200 is going for USD626 while PX-800 is USD920. However, he only has 1 left for the latter model, which is the display set that we were looking at. Dilemma. That display set is 7 months old. The owner is willing to let go at USD850. After some nego, USD800. I tried to push my luck a little...USD750. But was rejected, very sincerely by the owner...

I find this owner quite a nice chap, honest or not, I'm not sure. But I can feel his sincerity. He's definitely not the type who would start cursing you (at least not in front of us). We didn't buy from him, after a good 45mins, and especially when the shop was re-opened for us! He still thanked us for coming, shook our hands, and offered to help us call for a taxi.

There're still nice people around here... (",)

*We are still contemplating to buy that display set. Maybe if we feel rich later in the afternoon....sleepy now...till the next post! :)
